There are so many instances when we are asked to have faith, to “trust the timing of your life,” to “trust the process,” or the ever popular “trust the universe.”
So much of our lives is really just knowing that there are so many things unknown and waiting for those things to unfold. Something that may make no sense today might make perfect sense in a few years or maybe a few decades. But we cannot spend today wondering about the answers, wondering about tomorrow. That would be a wasted today, and constantly doing that would be a wasted life.
We never know when our answers are coming, which is why it is an important (and difficult!) practice to be at peace with the “not knowing.”
Peace be with everyone this holiday season. May we all, if even just for a season, trust, have faith, and be grateful that we have today.
